Education Resource Officer (HERO) can help.
The HERO supports all faculty, staff, and employees in Tennessee higher education
- Informally mediating and assisting in the resolution of issues raised by higher
education faculty, staff, and employees about Tennessee’s higher education systems
- Responding to questions about Tennessee’s public universities, community colleges,
and colleges of applied technology, as well as the University of Tennessee system
and Tennessee Board of Regents.
- Evaluating administrative policies and procedures in higher education for the Tennessee
As a function of the Comptroller’s Office, the HERO is part of the legislative branch
of Tennessee state government. The HERO provides independent oversight of state
government’s responsiveness to faculty, staff, and employees of Tennessee’s higher
education systems and institutions.
