This infographic explains different methods for calculating how much Tennessee spends per-pupil on education. Per-pupil expenditure figures may vary, depending on the figures used to calculate the number of students as well as the amount of money spent. This infographic breaks down the difference between the two methods of counting students - Average Daily Attendance (ADA) and Average Daily Membership (ADM) - and provides examples of three different per-pupil expenditure figures based on different ways of classifying expenditures.
