Summer Audit Internship Program

The Comptroller of the Treasury's Audit Internship Program is a 10-week paid educational and experiential learning opportunity offering undergraduate and graduate students a chance to witness and participate in the audit operations of the Office. The internships are within the Divisions of State Audit, Local Government Audit, and Investigations.

Our summer internship program is designed to be both professionally and academically beneficial.  Interns are provided with hands-on, practical experience in governmental auditing. Most of our internship positions are located in the Nashville area, but we also have internship opportunities in the West, Mid-East, and Eastern parts of Tennessee.  If you are interested in interning in  Knoxville, Jackson, Chattanooga, Johnson City, Cookeville, or another part of Tennessee, you will be able to select that location preference on the application.
