Physical education and physical activity are aspects of a student’s education that garner legislative attention across the United States. These three infographics examine physical education and physical activity in Tennessee’s schools, and how well Tennessee and other states measure up on national recommendations. The infographics include color-coded maps showing Tennessee high school students ranked below the national rate for being both physically active and attending physical education class based on a 2013 national survey of high school students’ health-related behaviors.
